Used ink cartridges can be sealed in special mailer bags, made for this use, that are usually provided by the inkjet reloading company. They are then shipped back to you in that same bag. That refilled cartridge will be returned to you with no added shipping charge. Can you beat that for both savings and convenience?
Shipping may take a few days, a short wait to get your cartridge returned to you.

If you do walk to it, you will be using time that may be of value to you, and energy from the walk. You also face the situation of the store not having ink compatible to your printer. Printer ink quality varies, some are better than others . You will have no guarantee that the replacement you get will be of good quality. Last but not least, it takes several minutes to refill just one cartridge. Therefore if you have several to refill, you may be waiting around for some time waiting for them to be refilled.
